Présentation

Depuis mon embauche à l'université Laval en 2007, j'ai mis sur pied un programme de recherche portant sur les effets des pratiques sylvicoles sur les propriétés du bois, en particulier pour les espèces feuillues. Je m'intéresse notamment à la modélisation des effets de la vitesse de croissance des arbres sur la morphologie des tiges et sur les propriétés internes du bois.

Je suis membre régulier du Centre de recherche sur les matériaux renouvelables (CRMR)  de l'université Laval, membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs forestier du Québec et membre associé au CEF. Avant de me joindre à l'université Laval, j'ai travaillé en tant que chercheur en bio-mécanique des arbres et en sciences du bois au sein de l'institut Forest Research  (Édimbourg, Royaume-Uni).
