BIOGRAPHIE

Mes recherches portent sur les écosystèmes terrestres avec un focus sur les forêts tempérées. J'ai aussi travaillé sur l'agriculture et les forêts urbaines, boréales et tropiques. En gros, tout ce qui est vert m'intéresse. Mon doctorat portait sur la modélisation du cycle de carbone terrestre utilisant des modèles dynamiques globaux de la végétation, des grosses bases de données de télédétection et l'apprentissage statistique. Pendant mon premier stage postdoctoral, j'ai travaillé à l'échelle organismique pour élucider les dynamiques de glucides nonstructureaux et de croissance comme leurs interactions. Mon intérêt pour les érables et l'industrie acéricole m'a éventuellement amené au Québec pour un deuxième stage postdoctoral avec la Chaire de l'économie écologique de l'UQO sur l'adaptation de l'industrie acéricole aux changements globaux. Dans mes recherches, j'aime combiner la technologie (Internet of Things, programmation, etc.) et les statistiques avec des observations sur le terrain et les experiences de manipulations pour répondre à des nombreuses questions fondamentales et appliquées.
