Présentation

Titulaire de la Chaire de recherche en acériculture et aménagement des érablières.

Mon programme de recherche porte sur l'écologie forestière, la sylviculture d’adaptation aux changements globaux et l'acériculture. Mon objectif est d’identifier des traitements sylvicoles favorisant 1) le rendement en produits de haute valeur (incluant le sirop d'érable), 2) la résistance et la résilience des peuplements à de multiples perturbations et stress climatiques, 3) tout en assurant la conservation de la biodiversité. Mon programme de recherche s'intéresse particulièrement aux forêts boréales et tempérées, avec un accent particulier sur les érablières. Je combine la dendrochronologie, la télédétection, la modélisation climatique et le suivi écophysiologique pour développer des pratiques innovantes et améliorer la résilience des forêts, de la limite nordique des arbres jusqu'aux érablières nord-américaines.
